Welcome to the Hannah video page!
This topical page is appropriately named after a well-known woman in Scripture, Hannah. As you may have guessed, the topic is prayer.
When you visit, we would love for you to be inspired, encouraged and even pressed to pray.
In 1 Samuel 1:15, we read about Hannah defending herself to the priest. Hannah declares, “Eli, Oh no, sir! … I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the Lord.” (NLT)
We ask you today, what prayers do you have that are deep in your soul?
So deep and anguishing that if you poured them out to the LORD nearby witnesses would believe you drunk.
Oh, that we would come boldly before the throne of grace!
What if we prayed like Hannah?
What if we believed like her as well?
As the story continues, “Then Eli answered and said, go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” (1 Sam 1:17)
At the mere agreement from the priest, Eli, she settled in heart having received the answer.
Verse 18 reveals Hannah’s response, “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.” (1 Samuel 1: 18)
What a picture of prayer! What a picture of belief!
Oh, let us pray!
