Private Prayer Requests:
About the Hannah video page!
This topical page regarding PRAYER is appropriately named after a well-known woman in Scripture, Hannah.
In 1 Samuel 1:15, we read about Hannah defending herself to the priest. Hannah declares, “Eli, Oh no, sir! … I haven’t been drinking wine or anything stronger. But I am very discouraged, and I was pouring out my heart to the Lord.” (NLT)
We ask you today, what prayers do you have that are deep in your soul?
What if we prayed like Hannah?
As the story continues, “Then Eli answered and said, go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” (1 Sam 1:17)
Verse 18 reveals Hannah’s response, “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.” (1 Samuel 1: 18)
At the mere agreement from the priest, Eli, she settled in heart having received the answer.
What if we believed like her as well?
What a picture of prayer! What a picture of belief! Oh, let us pray!
