The Glory of God Fell

I remember having an experience in the ninth grade with the Holy Spirit that changed my life forever. I felt His presence for the first time and instantly fell in love. During that time, God gave me the desire to start playing the piano, songwriting, and leading worship. I answered the call, started a worship band at my father's church, and wrote my first song, "Your Presence."

Subsequently, my life forever changed when I attended a Christian conference called IMPACT for college students. Priscilla Shirer was the guest speaker, and there were around 2000 students in attendance. At the end of her message, she began to announce the many names of God, such as Jehovah Jireh! Excitement filled the air as college students, one by one, began to jump out of their seats and yell in reverence to the Lord. As the yelling intensified, the glory of God began to fill the room. God had opened heaven. One by one, the room of cheering students started to lay prostrate. We couldn’t stand because the presence of God was so thick.

It was as if a weighted blanket was covering us.

One student said she saw clouds in the room. One student received physical healing. There was joy and peace in the atmosphere. It was a time of refreshing, and everything we needed was there in His presence.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 16:11 that there is fullness of joy and pleasures in the presence of the Lord.

How can we enter into God’s presence?

God said He is in the midst when 2 or 3 are gathered together in His name (Matthew 18:20).
What I noticed at the conference was unity, desperation for Jesus, and surrendered hearts.
Let us surrender our will to Jesus and expect that He will show up when we seek Him. Let us search for the Lord with our whole heart!
